It has come to my attention that it is harder for families to view books on the Scholastic website, and that children like to look through the physical magazines. For that reason I decided to send home a paper book order this time. Your children are reading well, ask them what level they are reading before ordering books. I would like to close the order in around April 3 and I prefer on-line ordering. This Friday is my favorite fundraiser of all, Jogging for the Arts. I especially like it because the entire student body is part of the excitement. Our time slot is 9:00-9:15. We'll probably be up on the playground a little before that, and then for a while after. You and any siblings are welcome to come and cheer us on. Join in the fun!

I've been using a combination of Engage New York and Georgia math for our unit focusing on the role of place value in the addition and subtraction of numbers to 40. The lessons and activities have been fun and engaging. Ask your child to explain the math papers that come home.
