Well conference week is behind us and I appreciated meeting with the wonderful parents of my fabulous students! Here are a couple of items I may have missed telling everyone or want to make sure you remember.
  • Your child can access Core 5 from the RDM website under "Student". Then use their username and password.
  • If your child needs more practice with spelling and more fluent reading, I suggest you practice the phonograms that we are learning in school. You will find them on my newsletters and blog posts.
  • Practice word wall words to help with reading and spelling.
  • Pre-teach Engage New York Math https://www.engageny.org/resource/grade-1-mathematics-module-1.
  • See the attachment for some leveled book series to help you find books at the library.
  • You can look at Mathmania or Puzzlemania if your child likes logic and puzzlers.
  • Continue to read nightly to your child and have them read to you at their level as well.
I'm looking for a parent to come in on Tuesday, November 24 (8-9:10) and cook bok choy with the children. We will harvest the bok choy from our garden. I can supply the hot plate. If you would be willing to bring the supplies, ingredients, that would be great. I also would like one other parent to run a math game. Let me know if you are interested. FYI, cooking with children is loads of fun! Please reply all as I will only be having two parents in that day.

Our new school phone number is 831-728-7838. The other number will be phased out quickly.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, ENJOY YOUR TIME WITH FAMILY!
