Please remind your child know we will not be having RTI next week because of assessments that we need to administer. So they line up in our classroom line.

Please have a conversation about the following with your child:

Tag has been getting a little rough with my class. I had a discussion with them after I was on yard duty on Wednesday and observed that they were getting too rough. Again today there were problems so I've decided that my class will not be allowed to play tag with anyone for the next two weeks, then we will reevaluate the situation. They also understand that they will get a blue slip if they play tag. It's my hope that there will not be any blue slips and that this period away from tag will take care of the problem.  

We have been enjoying the bounty of our garden. Last week we tasted broccoli flowerets, this week the children ate broccoli chips. Did you know you could cook the leaves just like you would kale? Most of the children loved this fabulous treat!

We will be exchanging Valentine cards on Friday, February 13. We will not be having a party, but there will be fun activities that day and I would like to run centers from 8-9:10. Please reply all if you would like to donate 22 boxes of conversation hearts, if you have any fun decorations for their Valentine bags, and one person to provide a treat for the children. 

Math: I will start Problem Set 11 on Tuesday.

Is there anyone who would volunteer to take pictures of the children next week and have photos back to me by Feb. 9? Please let me know if you can help out.
