Happy Thanksgiving!!! We have many things for which to be thankful. Besides family, good health and a good life, I am also so grateful for our Rio del Mar community. It has been such a benefit meeting with all of you to discuss your children's progress. There is such power with the home to school connection; thanks for taking time out of your busy days this week to meet with me.

Your children have published their second book this week and will read to some of their first grade friends. I have not yet decided whether to send their books home or not. I'm leaning towards yes so that you can see their progress.

A special thanks to the Weston and Feldmann families for purchasing Moby Max for first grade. Moby Max is a computer program and just like the Lexia Reading Core 5 Program, this is a self directed program that helps your child with academic skills at home. To help your child work without help and distraction, a headset would be helpful at home. Your child will be working in the "math and fact fluency" sections. Each child has a unique login. Follow these following steps:

1. go to www.mobymax.com

2. fill in school name... rio del mar 

3. click "sign in" 

4. click "as a student"

5. user name is your child's first name all lower case letters

6. password is your child's first name all lower case letters

Reports of Progress will go home on Monday. Please sign and return the envelopes on Tuesday.
