There was quite a bit of excitement over the Math Festival on Tuesday. The hands on activities were diverse and the children were engaged. I'm glad many of you were able to take advantage of the festival in the evening and the staff had additional time with Paul Giganti, the creator of the program.

You may have heard that we are reading the Laura Numeroff books, "If You Give a ......" and we will be writing our own class book. On Friday we will be making pancakes and will need some ingredients. Let us know if you are able to help out. We will need 4 c flour, 1/2 c sugar, 2 Tb salt, 3 TB baking powder, 6 eggs, 2 cubes butter, 1 quart milk, blueberries (lots), syrup and any other toppings you'd like to send in. We will be cooking on Friday, so please make sure we have the ingredients first thing in the morning.

We wrapped up our special American writing with the children writing about themselves and coloring a cover for their book. They edited their writing and helped edit their peer's writing as well. You will see their writing in May at Open House.

Dates to Remember:
If you are interested in ordering books from Scholastic, please remember the book orders are due on Tuesday, March 4.
Leprechaun traps due on Monday, March 16 (Information to follow)

With the allergies and colds we are running out of tissues. If everyone would send in one box, we should be set for the remainder of the year. Thanks for your support and enjoy this weekend (hopefully a weekend of rain).
