We will be making bean soup on Friday, October 23. Ingredients needed: dried bean soup mix with flavor pack, smoked ham hock, 32 oz chicken stock, onion, carrots, celery (veggies whole, children will prepare), garlic, bay leaves.

We will be starting Module 2 in math. Your child will be bringing home the homework packet. You can use it as math homework to support your child. 

We will be working on summarizing stories this week, which is much more concise than a retell. Also we will be working on understanding that sentences begin with upper case letters and end with a punctuation mark. Sentences also have a naming part (the part with the noun) and an action part (the verb).
