We had a very exciting day on Friday with the loss of power.  We worked on our writing, ran math centers (abandoned our plans to harvest and cook our chard), I read many stories, the children had JRR and indoor PE exercises. Even recesses and lunch were indoors. It was a fun productive day. Who needs electrical power to learn, we just need our brains:)

Thank you so much for sending the Read-A-Thon papers back to school. The organizers let me know they noticed and appreciated the tremendous participation from our class!
