Please let me know if your child will be leaving before the last day of school. Our Reader's Theater performance is on Tuesday, June 3 at 8:20 and in order to plan accordingly I will need to know if any children will be out that day.

Thanks for sending in flashlights and sheets. The children had fun in the forts even as cramped as they were.

I have another end of the year activity that is totally optional and fun, but will need a little support from home. I'd like to offer the opportunity for the children to bring a book into class that they would like to read to their friends. Your child should practice reading the story at home fluently and with good volume before bringing the book into class. Also if they have a few questions about the story they'd like to ask the class, that would be terrific. The book should be a picture book, not a chapter book, and should only take about 10 minutes to read. Whenever they are ready, please send the book with them to school. It will be quite a celebration of reading and my hope is that all of the children will desire to bring in a book to read.
