Your children are doing a great job reading their books to their friends. It must feel so special for them to sit in the "teacher chair" and read. I hope they are coming home with big wide grins because they sure have them here. If your child hasn't brought a book in yet, there is still next week.
Did your child come home and wow you with a new way to make food? If not, you should ask them. We read about three ways to produce more food in the National Geographic Explorers magazine.
Also we started practicing for our reader's theater yesterday. We won't have as much time to practice as I have been able to allot in the past, but rest assured, the children will be excited and cute. If your child would like to dress to fit their part, they may. You'll have to ask them what their part is and see what you have at home. I have always kept it low-key, more about reading, no acting, so please don't go overboard or shopping. They will be making head pieces in class. Many of the children are "Reader Leaders" more commonly known as narrators.
I want to remind you of the following:
Please return/pay the cost of your library books
Please send in $5.00 to cover the cost of the end of the year party
The party is Wednesday, at 10:00 at the school park
Friday is a short day
