Our summer birthday party in the park was a hit. Thanks to the number of parents for the treats and for helping with set up, clean up and for keeping an eye on the students.
As we get close to the end of the year, I have many reminders:
- If your child would like to read a book to the class, please try to make sure they can read it in about 10-15 minutes.
- Your child will no longer be able to charge/owe money for their hot lunch.
- Please sent $5.00 in to cover the costs for the end of the year party.
- Although I won't be running centers, I have a few jobs for which I would welcome help (wrapping gifts, helping to pot succulents, covering books in our book room).
- Please make sure your child returns their library book, or send money in to replace it.
- The choral performance is on June 30 at 8:15-8:30 in the MPR. Please make sure your child is wearing white on the top and black on the bottom. Additionally that Friday is also Santa Cruz spirit day.
- Readers Theater performance is Tuesday, June 3 at 8:20
- Our first grade party is Wed, June 4. Please contact Allison Fessenden or Karrie Franks if you are able to help. We will be needing a lot of parent volunteers. Please remember that siblings may not attend this party.
Enjoy your long weekend and remember the last day of school is June 6 with an early dismissal.
