It was so nice to see so many friendly faces at Back to School Night. Below are some reminders that I didn’t have time to tell you and others that I would like to emphasize.

• Have your child at school before 7:52, when the bell rings.
• If your child will not be in class by 8:00, have them get a tardy slip from the office.
• Email absences to Andrea and me.
• If your child is going home with someone else, please send an email early in the morning, or send a note.
• Please order books on-line by the end of the school on Monday, Sept. 22.
• Our class needs a Parent Alliance Rep and an Auction Volunteer.
• If you don’t understand the math homework paper, help your child learn the facts to 10 in any creative (or non-creative) way you can.
• If the homework log isn’t turned in on Friday, turn it in late on Monday (you may want to put a post it on the folder to help me see it).
• If you don’t have a log, write on any paper, post-it, envelope….
• Please no food on birthdays, however when your child is Star of the Week, you may bring in cultural food.
• Please look at the blog to find out when your child is star. If you need to change your week, please contact a parent and let me know of the changes.
• Collecting Box Tops for Education is an easy, no expense way of earning money for our school.
• Label your child’s clothing and lunch bag.
• Make sure you sign up for a time for November conferences.  

Math: We will continue to find ways to make numbers up to ten. Also we will be working with missing numbers like 6+__= 9 and learning about equivalent expressions like 3+1=2+2.
