Please make sure you look to see when your child is Star of the Week! The schedule and information can be found on my blog. Please note that on Friday you will take home the hermit crabs and return them on Monday.
Language Arts: We read a story called, "Jasper's Beanstalk" and the children have written and edited a sequel to the story. As soon as I get the stories typed, they will illustrate them and bring them home. Last week we read stories and an article about seasons and are learning about fact and opinion. Also I have been teaching the children about citing evidence when answering questions. It is important that your child can show you where in the text they have found their answers and can justify their answers. We will work on this skill all year long.
Math: Your children are doing well learning their facts to 10. Now we will start to focus on understanding how subtraction relates to addition. Continue supporting your child at home.
