Thanks to those who were able to make it to Back to School Night and sorry if you were unable to join us. I had so much to share and not enough time. Therefore, I'm including some handouts (check your emails), repeating some of the information I covered on Thursday night and including information I didn't cover.

The RDM website holds a lot of important including, but not limited to: Access to my blog, Engage NY Math support, forms, Jennifer Albores's email for absences...

My blog has info for homework, the word wall, handwriting Star of the Week (Plus the schedule),Scholastic Book info, and support for Engage NY math,

Homework: Due the last day of every week. If you don't have a log, you can print it from my blog, or you can log the books on any other paper. Please write only one entry per day. I don't need all of the books that your child or you have read.

Math: This link is for Module 1. We are going to start Topic F this week.
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0Bze4eU0rInwwb1dlOGRzVjhBOVk#,, there is also support on the RDM page and my blog.

Word Wall Words: These words are fundamental to your child's growth in reading and writing. Please help them learn these words. Look for new words each week. This week they are:who, what, when, where, why

Scholastic book orderDue on Sept. 22. Online orders are easier for me. To order books at your child's level, ask your child what level of books they have in their desk, then find books one or more levels beyond what your child is reading, unless they are reading L or M levels. Scholastic flyers include the GRL (Guided Reading Level) for many books. You are not limited to the order forms I sent home; you may order any books from the Scholastic Book Club website. Our class benefits with each order and in turn, I order books for the class.

Conferences: I'm including an image of the conference schedule for November. If you haven't set a date yet, please email me your three top choices. (Check your email)
