Tomorrow is our Rio del Mar annual Jog-A-Thon. I encourage you to come out and cheer our class on at 10:30. Please remember to send a water bottle with your child's name on it, and make sure your child has appropriate footwear for running. So far, only one pledge sheet has been returned to our classroom. If you need another form, you can find it on the RDM website. The Jog-A-Thon is one of my favorite events because it is a community event where all students participate and everyone is invited to come, siblings. grandparents and other special people. If we are lucky, maybe we'll see you tomorrow.
This Saturday is the Student Authors' Fair from 10-3, at the Capitola Mall. We have one class book there. If you are unable to make it, you will have the opportunity to read the book at Open House.
The children are enjoying their time with MOD. They have been building and learning about levers and wheels and axles using Legos. We have four more sessions left. On Friday, May 6, our staff would like to show our appreciation to parents for all of the support we have been given. If you are driving your child/children to school, we will be passing muffins and drinks out in the car line. If you are walking, there will be treats at the park. If we will not be seeing you that morning, know that you and your dedication to our school and children is appreciated.
Continue daily reading and practicing math facts. Make sure your child has the homework log in their folder every Friday. By now your child should be know their math facts to 10 with automaticity.
